«Marathon of Talents in Greece» International Festival-Competition

      The Festival is held in Greece, on the famous and most visited coast – Stavros Beach. The Festival is a real marathon of various kinds of creativity and art. Our goal is to combine the participants of the Festival with different cultures and forms of creativity. The main idea of ​​the Festival is to bring together artistic groups from around the world to build contacts, to present and showcase their achievements, to explore the cultures of other nations, to cooperate internationally and to educate tolerance.

 

FESTIVAL ORGANISERS

Company “Monolit Festivals” S.L, with support of the city halls of Stavros beach, together with other cultural institutions, individuals and legal entities that support the goals and ideas of the Festival.

 

PURPOSE AND PRIMARY GOALS OF FESTIVAL

◦ Revival, preservation and development of national cultures.
◦ Acquaintance with the best creative associations, establishment of contacts between collectives, an exchange of an operational experience 

◦ Support and development of youthful creativity.

 

COMPETITION PERFORMERS

Creative collectives and separate executors without age restrictions can perform (vocal, choreography, musical instruments, original genre, art gymnastics, aerobics, applied creativity).

AGE CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPANTS

  • less than 7 years;
  • 8-10 years old;
  • 11-12 years old;
  • 13-14 years old;
  • 15-18 years old;
  • 19 years and more years old;
  • mixed junior age category – average age up to 12 years inclusive;
  • mixed senior age category – average age from 13 years;
  • mixed age category (no age limit).

* Age of groups is based on most of the participants.

 

Requirements :

Vocal: Soloists, duets, trios present a composition with a duration up to 4 minutes; Minor forms, groups (ensembles), choirs present a composition (1 -2) with a duration lasts up to 7 minutes

  • Performance skills (the clarity of the intonation and the quality of sound);

 

Choreography: Soloists, duets, trios present a composition with a duration up to 5 minutes; Minor forms, groups (ensembles) present a composition with a duration up to 5 minutes.

  • Art skills and performance technique;
  • Compositions of the performance;
  • Stage of performance (costumes)

 

Instrumental music &original composition

Soloists, duets, trios present a composition with a duration lasts up to 4 minutes; Minor forms, groups (ensembles), orchestras present a composition (1-2) with a duration up to 7 minutes.

Theatre

Participants demonstrate the play (or a piece) with a duration up to 10 minutes.

Art/Drawing Theme “”The Sea and me””

Two works performed in any technique in the A1, A2, A3 format are accepted from each participant.

Jury criteria

  • Artistic skill;
  • The Originality of the idea;
  • The Originality of the performance.

 

Conditions of participation in the festival.

  • For the competition, the participants must prepare two acts accompanied by background music (max. 4 minutes each).
  • For the Gala Concert, the participants must prepare one act (can be a different one, or same on as at the competition)
  • Theatrical groups, musicals, musical and theatre productions, mixed music and theatre groups can submit one performance, lasting 15 minutes.
  • Participants of a collective group performing separately are considered as a separate participant.
  • 14 days prior to the competition start, participants should send the background music of the acts to the electronic address: info@monolit.es. Life background music is allowed.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use and distribute audio, video clips and other kind of production, produced during the competition activities.
  • Team leaders are responsible for the members of the group during the period of mass Festival events and holiday.

 

Prizes and awards of the festival

The jury determines the winners by awarding the following diplomas to the participants of thefestival:

  • Grand Prix in each category (it is possible to award 2 or more Grand Prix in onecategory, taking into account different categories; if the jury decides to award both the team and the soloist);
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd-degree laureate in each age group.

       

      REGISTRATION:

      Each participant of the Festival (collective or soloist) submits a completed application: info@monolitfestivals.com

      By sending an the leader (soloist) automatically confirms that he has read this Regulation of the Festival and agrees with all the points.

      In response to the application and confirmation of receipt of the documents of intent, theOrganizing Committee sends an invoice in the amount of 50% of the main cost of the selectedpackage (this amount includes a non-refundable registration fee of 50 euros per person).

      This amount is considered as the deposit and will be taken into account in the calculations. After paying the bill, we will send an official invitation to participate in the festivaland a confirmation of the reservation at the hotel for submission to the consulate. The rest ofthe amount must be paid at least 4 weeks before your arrival.

      Attention! All bank expenses are to be paid by the participant!

      If the embassy refuses to grant entry visas to the participants, the Organizing Committee is noteconomically responsible. In case of cancellation of the application by the participants (for anyreason), the paid fees are subject to the following penalties:

      • Non-refundable registration fee of 50 euros (paid by both participants and accompanyingpersons), as well as:
      • cancellation for 30 days-penalty of 75% of the total amount of payment
      • cancellation for 20 days in advance – a penalty of 90% of the total amount of payment
      • cancellation for 14 days or less :100% of the total amount of payment

      The organizers are not responsible for any possible damage that the participants may causeduring the participation in the Festival Competition.

      The organizers prepare the texts for diplomas, certificates, and letters of thanks and send themto the participants for approval in advance. In case of non-confirmation by the participants, orconfirmation with errors, the organizers do not alter the above material  and are not responsible for incorrectly transmitted information for diplomas by the participants.

       

      Festival accommodation packages:

      1.MAIN program (5 days, 4 nights):

      participants: 270 euros per person – accommodation triple/quadriple rooms/breakfast +dinner +city tax/

      Double room – 320 euro per person/breakfast + dinner +city tax/

       

      2.REDUCED program (4 days, 3 nights):

      225 euros per person/breakfast + dinner+city tax/ triple/quadriple rooms

      Double room – 255 euro per person/breakfast + dinner+city tax/

      • For groups of 25 people or more, there is a special offer: 25 + 1 for free.
      • City tax 5 EUR/per day/ incl.at the package;

      Additional day – 80 euro/ incl. dinner and breakfast

       

      Accommodation: in a hotel 3*** Accommodation in hotels of higher categories or individual rooms is made by separate agreement and for an additional fee.

      Meals: breakfast buffet and dinner buffet

      Price includes: accommodation with breakfast and dinner, every 25th place for the head is free of charge, prize cups for collectives; soloists, duets, trios, quartets are awarded commemorative medals with the symbols of the Festival; excursion in Thessaloniki with guide/10 euro/; registration of all necessary documents

       

      Additional payment for participants:

      • Soloists: 85€ (second song- 45€)
      • Duets, trios, quartets: 45€/person
      • Small groups (5-9 people): 40€/person
      • Groups over 10 persons: 25€/person

      • The organizers reserve the right to cancel the Festival 30 days before the start of the festival week in case the minimum number of participants is missing. In the case of contributions already paid, the amount will be reimbursed in full to the participants.
